As part of the deliberate effort of the Nasarawa State Government to ensure Nasarawa United Football Club return to the Nigeria Premier Football League next season, the State's Deputy Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe, on Tuesday, held a meeting with the Management of the State's Ministry of Youth and Sports Development as well as Management of Nasarawa United FC behind closed doors in his office in Lafia.
Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Jafaru Ango, Permanent Secretary, Chief Barr. Isaac Danladi, both represented the Ministry, while the entire Management of the Club, headed by Dr. Othman Ahmed Ibrahim, alongside Idris Rilwan, Team Manager, Solomon Babanjah, Adamu Musa Ghalleh, Musa Usman Oruma, Technical Adviser, Coach Adams Usman, and Secretary, Simon Bala represented the Club as gathered by Nigeriasoccernet.com through Eche Amos.
Key issues bordering on the progress of Nasarawa United and how to gain promotion back to the elite domestic football league formed major parts of the meeting as all parties unanimously resolved to work in unison for the attainment of the mandate of the Governor, Engr. Abdullahi Sule.
Nasarawa United are currently third on the Group C table with ten points from six games, two points behind table-topping Wikki Tourists FC of Bauchi and one point behind El-Kanemi Warriors FC of Maiduguri in the 2023/24 Nigeria National League Season.
