Napoli compel Osimhen to contract extension before Galatasaray loan move
Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen will be required to sign a contract extension with the Serie A club before completing a loan move to Galatasaray, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The Nigerian international is set to join the Turkish side on a dry loan, with no option or obligation to buy, but Napoli want assurances that their investment is protected.
Osimhen's current contract, signed in December 2023, expires in June 2026, and Napoli according to Footballitalia, are keen to extend it to June 2027 to maintain a strong negotiating position for a potential sale in the future.
Galatasaray will cover Osimhen's €11m annual salary during the loan period, but Napoli insist on the contract extension before allowing the player to undergo a medical and complete the move.
