The Mauve and Yellows will host their Western regional rivals in an epic encounter at the Tarkwa and Aboso Park.

Medeama are smarting from their 3-2 win over Great Olympics in the Ghana Premier League but are wary of the threat posed by Wise ahead of Wednesday's fixture.

Swedish trainer Tom Strand says his team will not underestimate the second-tier side.

“We’re not going to underestimate any team and that includes Eleven Wise, he told the club’s official website.

“There is a history between the two sides and we’ll hope to win. They are a formidable opposition for us; so the approach will be the same as for any Premier League team.

“It is vitally important that we go out there and give a good performance, we have to be focused and execute our plan. We simply have to ensure that we go through to the next round of the Elite Cup.”
