Mateo Kovacic: I Won't Return to Inter With Mancini on the Bench

"?Real Madrid midfielder Mateo Kovacic has ruled out moving back to his former club, Inter Milan, while Roberto Mancini is still at the helm.

The 22-year-old has been linked with a return move to the San Siro following a debut season at Real Madrid that saw him consigned to the bench for much of the season.

Kovacic, who is training with Croatia head of their Euro 2016 opening match against Turkey, however, does not see a move as feasible so long as Mancini is in charge due to their 'weird relationship'.

"I won't go back there with Mancini on the bench," he said.

"I had a weird relationship with him, but these are personal things and it's best not to get into them.

"I don't know what will happen in the future, nobody does. I had two-and-a-half years with Inter and I'm a fan."

Juventus are also looking to make a move for Kovacic happen according to Tuttosport.

The Old Lady have resigned themselves to losing Alvaro Morata to Real Madrid when they activate his €30m buyback clause which comes into effect next month.

They remain keen on landing Kovacic, however, as they aim to secure a loan move with an option to buy at the end of the season.
