NLO suspend Referee Nasiru Idris for poor officiating

Nationwide League One management has suspended indefinitely referee Nasiru Idris for his poor handling matchday 2 encounter in the league, Nigeriasoccernet.com had gathered.

In a release by the media officer of the league, Abdulgafar Oladimeji, the action taken comes as a result of mismanagement of the match between Green Beret vs Kaduna Utd played on 24th April, 2024.

"Nasiru Idris (KD)* is herewith suspended indefinitely and therefore, delisted from further participation." The statement read.

Speaking on the matter , NLO , Chief Operating Officer, COO, Olushola Ogunnowo reassured that the league is committed to sustainability measures with the motive to sustain the level of improvements recorded in the league.

He appealed to the competing clubs and officials to uphold their faith in the league, warning that the league will not condone any form of indiscipline and would also therefore not hesitate to invoke discplinary measures against any erring official assigned to discharge league duties at either of the centre.

In a related situation, the chairman NRA Katsina State chapter, Abdullahi Shuaibu has also been over issues bothering on alleged unethical conducts in the ongoing  2024 NLO  league season in the State.
