Manchester City head coach Enzo Maresca says he hopes the club’s ongoing financial case will ultimately have a positive outcome.
“I hope we will be talking about the situation when Manchester City win the appeal,” Maresca said.
Manchester City were found guilty of 114 financial breaches covering the period from 2009 to 2018. The club could face expulsion from the Premier League or a substantial points deduction, although no final verdict has yet been issued.
Manchester City currently lead the Premier League 2026/27 table, having collected 18 points from their opening six matches.
