"?Liverpool transfer target Christian Pulisic has revealed he was a Manchester United fan when he was younger.
While Pulisic may yet join Anfield, the American midfielder says he idolised the likes of Wayne Rooney instead of Steven Gerrard.
"I was a big Manchester United fan when I was younger so I loved to watch Wayne Rooney,"? he told ESPN FC.

"I wouldn't say I'm a similar player, though. I think his passion for the game is something you don't see much in players. That's what I loved about him."?
The 17-year-old midfielder is regarded as one of the hottest properties right now and was the subject of a Liverpool bid last month, but claims he is fully focused with continuing his Borussia Dortmund career while admitting he is aware of the interest from the Reds.
"I hear about it. I have social media,"? he said.
"Obviously I'm not completely closed to the world. But I don't let it affect me or how I'm playing at the time. The whole time throughout, I was just focused on training every day.
"I don't have as much experience as a lot of players on the (Dortmund) team. But just getting my minutes and working hard every day in training and becoming a normal member of the team is the goal."?
Pulisic caught the eye at the weekend, scoring twice and assisting one in the United States' 6-0 victory over Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
