Lazio secured a 2-0 victory away to Venezia on Saturday in the fifth round of the 2026/27 Italian championship, recovering from a missed penalty by the hosts to take control after the interval.

Venezia had the clearest opportunity of an even first half when they were awarded a penalty in the 17th minute. John Yeboah stepped up to take the spot-kick but was unable to convert it, leaving the score level at half-time.

Lazio made the decisive breakthrough shortly after the restart. Mattia Zaccagni confidently converted a penalty in the 51st minute to put the visitors in front.

The Rome-based side then increased their advantage nine minutes later. Tijjani Noslin found the net in the 60th minute, completing the scoring and securing Lazio’s 2-0 win.
