Kwara United release 22 players as training for new season begins

Nigeria Premier Football League side, Kwara United will be having almost a new squad ahead of the 2024/2025 season as the club have stated that they have released twenty-two players, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Harmony Boys resumed training for the new season on Monday after a three weeks break.

The club General Manager, Bashir Badawiy on behalf of the club chairman, Kumbi Titiloye welcomed both old and new players and gave updates on the team recruitment plans they prepare for the new season.

United's revealed through its social media handle that the club management has also fortified the team with top stars from NPFL.

Badawiy "admonished the players to eschew indiscipline and work inline with the Club philosophy including the target of ending next Season among the top 3 and qualify for the Continent."

Kwara United finished 13 place in the 2023/2024 NPFL season and have kick started preparations for a better 2014/2025 season.
