Italian Referee Valerie To Officiate Ukraine – Super Eagles Friendly

Italian referee, Paolo Valerie, will take charge of the proceedings on the field of play when Nigeria’s Super Eagles confront their Ukrainian counterparts in Tuesday’s international friendly match at the Dnipro Arena, kyiv, Completesports.com reports.

The game billed for September 10, will highlight first ever confrontation between the two nations at senior level. Ukrainian Football Federation confirmed in a statement on their official website that the Italian has received the nod to officiate the match.

Valerie, 41, will be assisted by fellow compatriots, Alessandro Vostanzo and Stefano Alassio in the capacity of first and second assistant referees respectively.

Vitaliy Romanov, a Ukrainian referee, will serve as the fourth official.

Valerie has been an international referee since 2011 and has taken charge of UEFA Champions League qualifiers, Europa League, Serie A, Saudi Professional League, U19 Euros and international friendly games before his latest appointment.
