Interim Coach Agbo leads Rangers to Zambia

Enugu Rangers’ players and officials will this afternoon depart Nigeria for Ndola, Zambia, ahead of their second leg play-off of the Total CAF Confederation Cup tie against Zesco United billed for Saturday.

Rangers’ media officer Forster Chime disclosed that the team will travel via Ethiopian airline.

“The team led by Coach Chukwuma Agbo will be traveling to Ndola, Zambia today by 12:50pm Ethiopian airline flight,” Chime said. Following the sacking of Imama Amapakabo, Chime also stated that the appointment of a new coach for Rangers will be decided after the team return from Zambia.

Meanwhile Rangers interim coach, Chukwuma Agbo, has said his players are ready to work with him as he takes over the reins of the Enugu-based club following the sack of Imama Amapakabo.

“I was a little scared and unsure of how the players will react to my new position. But they surprised me when in my first training they all responded fine and told me they were professionals and will give their best and help save Rangers from the current position we find ourselves,” revealed Agbo The Flying Antelopes must overturn a 2-2 first leg result to stand a chance of progressing into the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.
