Super Falcons defender, Ashleigh Plumptre has been pictured back in training with her club, Al Ittihad Ladies after a lengthy injury lay-off which ruled her out for majority of the season as well as making an Olympics dream debut with the National team, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The club shared smiling pictures of the lanky defender alongside her teammates as preparations intensifies for the 2024/25 campaign on their official X handle.

Plumptre has been out for two months due to an injury on her right leg, undergoing a successful surgery in April but continued her rehabilitation plan in bid to return in time for the Olympics but she was declared unfit despite making the squad list as announced by the Nigeria Football Federation.

Her return is a significant boost for the club as she is expected to be readily available for selection in when the new season kicks-off in the Saudi Women's Premier League.
