Tottenham are interested in Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez and could make a substantial offer for the Argentina international.
According to El Nacional, the London club may propose a fee of about €130m to Atletico for the 26-year-old. Tottenham are also prepared to offer Alvarez an attractive personal contract as they pursue a deal.
A possible condition of the agreement could be a specific clause relating to Barcelona. The proposed arrangement would allow Alvarez to move to the Catalan club in the future if an appropriate offer is made.
Alvarez is already familiar with English football, having played for Manchester City before joining Atletico. His current contract with the Madrid club runs until 2030, while his market value is estimated at €120m.
