Nigeria head coach Eboboritse Uwejamomere has named a 25-player Golden Eaglets squad for the WAFU-B U17 Championship, which begins in Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso, on Saturday.
The five-time world champions will use the competition as a route towards next year’s U17 Africa Cup of Nations, which will be hosted by Morocco.
Uwejamomere’s selection includes three goalkeepers, seven defenders, eight midfielders and seven forwards. Nigeria are drawn in Group B, where they will face Niger Republic and Burkina Faso during the group stage.
Group A features hosts Burkina Faso alongside Ghana, Togo and Benin Republic.
