2024/2025 runners of the Nigeria Premier Football League, Rivers United, have announced the addition of 11 players to their squad ahead of the new season, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The Pride of Rivers announced the following players: Ani Ozoemena, Noble John, Nsi Effimi, Ogbu Ogechukwu, Rivio Ayemwenre, Anthony Chukwudi Omaka, Maclyn Biokpo, Seyi Oguntayo, Chinedu Sunday, Wasiu Falolu, and Isaac Annor.
Goalkeeper Ani Ozoemena joined from Enyimba FC, while goalkeeper John Noble joined the former champions after two years in Tanzania.
Right-back Nsi Effimi joined from fellow NPFL giants Rangers International on a Free transfer. Defender Ogbu Ogechukwu of Sunshine Stars and Rivio Ayemwenre joined from Ikorodu City.
Midfielder Anthony Chukwudi Omaka played last for Heartland FC. Maclyn Biokpo joined from a strike from Nigeria National League side, God'swill Akpabio United FC.
Star midfielder, Seyi Oguntayo, also joined from relegated Akwa United, and Chinedu Sunday joined from newly promoted side, Kun Khalifat FC.
Wasiu Falolu joined from Crown FC, and Issac Anno,r who played formerly for Bendel Insurance and Sporting Lagos, completes the acquisition list.
