The Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) has confirmed Port Harcourt as the host city for the 2026 Premiership Super Six, marking the first time Rivers State will stage the season-ending championship.

The tournament will run from June 5 to June 14, 2026, bringing together six top clubs competing for the league title at the end of the 2025/26 season.

Defending champions Bayelsa Queens headline the qualified teams, alongside Edo Queens, Rivers Angels, FC Robo Queens, Nasarawa Amazons, and Abia Angels, who will be making their debut at this stage.

The NWFL noted that the Super Six continues to showcase competitive balance in the women’s league, with four different champions in the last five seasons. The competition winner will go on to represent Nigeria in the WAFU-B qualifiers for a place in the CAF Women’s Champions League pathway.

League officials also highlighted Port Harcourt’s strong track record in hosting football events, adding that preparations are already underway for a smooth and professional tournament experience.
