Trabzonspor president Ertugrul Dogan says Paul Onuachu is fully committed to the club and remains one of the top three strikers in the league.
Dogan was speaking about the Nigeria international and Trabzonspor’s weekend match against Galatasaray during a live broadcast on A Spor, as reported by BSNSports.com.ng.
“Onuachu has no problems whatsoever. He's someone we're constantly in contact with. He's one of the rare players who gives his all in training,” Dogan said.
The president added that Onuachu also applies himself during matches, although the striker can occasionally appear less effective when he is not suited to the team’s system or is playing in a position he does not prefer.
“He also does his best in matches. Sometimes he seems to play poorly in terms of the system; sometimes he doesn't play where he wants, but he's one of the top 3 strikers in this league,” he said.
Onuachu was the league’s top scorer last year, according to Dogan, who believes the forward is capable of producing even more for Trabzonspor.
“He was last year's top scorer. He's someone who can do anything he wants when he sets his mind to it, and we expect even better from him going forward,” Dogan said.
