Aston Villa forward Nicolas Jackson has praised manager Unai Emery after the club’s 2-1 victory over Manchester City in the eighth round of the Premier League.
Jackson said Emery still possessed the same determination and desire to succeed as when the pair previously worked together at Villarreal.
“He still has the same passion and hunger for success,” Jackson said.
The forward reunited with Emery in the summer of 2026 after moving to Aston Villa from Chelsea. He had previously played under the Spanish manager at Villarreal.
The win over Manchester City leaves Aston Villa with 11 points, placing them sixth in the English top-flight table.
Aston Villa’s next Premier League fixture is at home against Fulham on 31 October.
