Mikel Arteta has explained what pleased him most about extending his contract with Arsenal, saying: “You look at the people around you and see smiles.”
Arsenal officially announced on 7 October that Arteta had agreed a new deal with the London club running until the summer of 2030.
According to media reports, the contract will earn the Spaniard more than £20m a year, making him the highest-paid manager in the Premier League.
