The 27-year-old featured in three league matches during August and found the net four times. His contribution came as Real Madrid made a perfect start to their league campaign, winning each of their first three fixtures.
Real Madrid began with a 2-1 victory over Espanyol before beating Real Sociedad 4-1. They then completed a run of three wins by defeating Malaga 4-0.
Those results have put Jose Mourinho’s side second in the La Liga table. The club’s early form has been supported by Mbappe’s goalscoring, with the forward quickly becoming a decisive player in the opening weeks of the season.
Mbappe’s award was confirmed ahead of Real Madrid’s next fixture, which is scheduled for today, 4 September. The capital club will face Real Betis in their next match.
