Juventus began their Europa League campaign in emphatic fashion, beating NEC Nijmegen 5-0 at the Allianz Stadium on Thursday after scoring three times before half-time.
Nicolas Gonzalez put the Italian side ahead after only nine minutes. NEC goalkeeper Polster failed to deal with a long ball from Grabara, allowing Gonzalez to collect it and finish into an unguarded net.
Juventus doubled their advantage in the 24th minute when Kerim Alajbegovic found the top corner with a controlled strike.
The hosts were firmly in control and added a third before the interval. Nick Woltemade converted from the penalty spot in the 35th minute after Kabar fouled Gonzalez inside the area.
NEC attempted to impose themselves after the break and enjoyed 67% possession during the opening 15 minutes of the second half. Juventus, however, defended their lead effectively, while Grabara made several important interventions to prevent the visitors from reducing the deficit.
Luciano Spalletti made a number of changes around the hour mark, bringing on Bremer, Conceicao and Koopmeiners as Juventus maintained their control of the match.
The home side then finished strongly, scoring twice in the final quarter of an hour.
Zeki Celik made it 4-0 in the 75th minute after being set up by Randal Kolo Muani. The France striker then contributed to the fifth goal seven minutes later.
Polster was again caught out of position, and Lucumi supplied Kolo Muani, who completed the move by rolling the ball into an empty net.
The result gives Juventus a dominant start to their European campaign, with Grabara influential at both ends of the pitch after keeping NEC at bay and providing the long pass that led to the opening goal.
