Arsenal came from behind to draw level with Chelsea in their third-round English league meeting, with Kai Havertz cancelling out an early Morgan Rogers goal in the London derby.
Chelsea made the stronger start at Stamford Bridge, taking the lead in the sixth minute. Morgan Rogers found the net to put the visitors in front and give Chelsea an early advantage.
Arsenal were then denied an equaliser when a goal by Riccardo Calafiori was ruled out for offside. The decision prevented the Gunners from immediately responding to Chelsea’s opener, but Mikel Arteta’s side continued to press for a way back into the match.
Their persistence paid off in the 25th minute, when Kai Havertz brought the score level. The Germany international received the ball and moved towards the centre along the edge of the penalty area before sending a low shot into the near corner.
Declan Rice provided the assist for the equaliser, helping Arsenal restore parity after Chelsea’s early breakthrough. The goal left the two sides level in the third-round fixture.
The London derby began at 18:30 Moscow time and remains in progress. Further developments can be followed through the live text commentary on the LiveResult portal.
