Super Eagles forward Gift Orban scored three times as Amedspor secured a 4-0 victory over Istanbul Basaksehir on Sunday.
The hat-trick was Orban’s second against Basaksehir. His first came in 2023, when he scored three goals for Gent in the Europa Conference League.
Orban completed his latest treble in just 23 minutes, finding the net in the 52nd, 56th and 75th minutes. The feat set a record for the fastest hat-trick in men’s UEFA club competition history.
The performance took Orban’s tally to six goals in his last three matches. He has now drawn level with Victor Osimhen on six goals in the Turkish Super Lig top-scorer race.
