Fares Ghedjemis has been left out of the latest Algeria squad despite featuring at the most recent World Cup under Vladimir Petkovic.
The Frosinone forward’s omission follows a difficult start to the season, with his preparation affected by a transfer that failed to go through during the summer window.
However, his agent Sofiane Mahieddine believes the absence from the national team is only temporary and is confident Ghedjemis can work his way back into contention.
Speaking to Maghreb-Foot, Mahieddine said the 24-year-old is now playing in Serie A and should have the opportunity to build up a regular run of matches with Frosinone.
The agent believes that period will allow Ghedjemis to regain his match fitness and show his ability in Italian football. He also remains optimistic about the player’s prospects of returning to the Algeria squad.
Ghedjemis attracted interest from several clubs during the transfer window, including AS Monaco and Besiktas, as reported exclusively by Africafoot.
Despite that attention, he stayed at Frosinone and remains under contract with the club until 30 June 2028. His market value is estimated at 7.5 million euros.
Frosinone are due to play their fifth Serie A match of the season against FC Come.
