Super Eagles forward, Kelechi Iheanacho had been nominated for the player of the month for February after his brilliant performance in the month, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Iheanacho who sprang to life in February after a time of quietness in front of goal scored 2 goals and assisted three in all four matches of Leicester City in the month.
Also nominated for the award are Bernd Leno of, Manchester United's Marcus Rashford , Fulham s duo of Manor Solomon and Bernd Leon, Emerson Royal of Tottenham Hotspur and Ollie Watkins of Aston Villa.
Only Austin Jay Jay Okocha and Peter Odemwingie, Odion Ighalo and Iheanacho are the only Nigerian players to have won the award.
