Igoh Ogbu has revealed his optimism on Slavia Prague's title chances for this season as he aims to win his first career league title with the Czech outfit, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Slavia who last won the championship in 2021 are pushing for an eighth league title this season, going up seven points ahead of closest rival Plzen who are on 43 points after 19 matches.
"Yes, we are seven points clear and for sure, I believe that it's our time and I strongly believe in God I know that for sure we are going to come out victorious and win the league this season. I'm certain about it, 24-year-old centre-back who is now in his second season with Slavia said in an exclusive interview with Tribalfootball.
Assessing the Czech league, he said; "The league has improved, they have been doing well and the league is getting better. We have more competitive games among the Czech teams. So, for me, I think the league is really good at this moment.
"The Czech Republic league is good and you can see that the Czech league has produced a lot of good players abroad. They are producing good goalkeepers, you see many players playing in the Italian league because they always come to watch the Czech league. It is a good league for development", he added.
