Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita has been backed to start for Guinea in their Africa Cup of Nations showdown against Nigeria.
Having been sidelined since the Reds' Champions League semi-final first leg loss to Barcelona, the No. 8 made his return from injury as a substitute in his side's 2-2 draw with Madagascar.
And Guinea boss Paul Put offered a further update on the midfielder ahead of their second Group B match, telling reporters Keita could be ruled fit to start.
The manager said: "You know he had an injury. It was not obvious he participated in the AFCON. We did everything to prepare Naby well
"He trains at 200%. I think he is physically ready. If he is mentally ready, I think he will start the game.
"Because there is a Syli with Naby Keita and a Syli without him, that we saw during the preparation when Guinea lost all three games without him
