Genk rule out January sale of in-form Arokodare

KRC Genk chairman Peter Croonen has insisted that the club has no intention of selling Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare during the January transfer window, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Arokodare has been in scintillating form for the Smurfs this season, scoring 12 goals and registering six assists in 21 matches across all competitions.

His impressive performances have reportedly attracted interest from top European clubs, but Croonen is adamant that the 24-year-old will remain at Genk beyond the winter transfer window.

"The intention is absolutely to keep him. And that will happen," Croonen told DAZN.

Genk's determination to hold onto Arokodare is a testament to the striker's importance to the team, and a clear indication that they are keen to keep their top performers as they push for success in the Belgian Pro League.
