Gambia reached the UFOA-A U17 final by beating Liberia 2-1 in their semi-final in Dakar on Thursday, 17 September 2026.
The victory also secured the Baby Scorpions’ qualification for the 2027 U17 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
Gambia will face Senegal in the regional final on Sunday, 20 September, in Dakar. Senegal had already booked their place in the final.
The match will be a meeting between two Group A sides who faced each other earlier in the tournament’s group stage. They will now contest the UFOA-A trophy in Sunday’s final.
