Barcelona manager Hansi Flick says his side’s 4-2 defeat by Paris Saint-Germain can help them improve ahead of their meeting with Real Madrid.
Barcelona suffered their first defeat of the season in Paris earlier this week, but Flick believes the experience has provided useful lessons before facing another of the world’s leading teams.
Asked at a news conference whether the loss had helped Barcelona prepare for the match against Real Madrid, Flick said: “Of course. We spoke with the players. There are aspects of our game that need improving and we need to grow.
“Tomorrow we will play against one of the best teams in the world, and it is a great opportunity for our development.”
Barcelona had gone through nine rounds of La Liga without dropping points before the defeat by Paris Saint-Germain.
