A fan in Jos has been arrested and is in police custody for public disturbance in Sunday's NPFL game between Giwa FC and Enugu Rangers, according to Supersport.com

After several attempts to get information on the development, the Plateau State FA chairman, Sunday Longbap, disclosed on Tuesday that the police is still investigating the matter and the arrested fan has divulged useful information on the matter.

"One of those who perpetrated the act in Sunday's game was arrested and the police, in fact the Special Task Force (STF) of the police, say he has made available useful information on the other person involved who is still at large," Longbap said to supersport.com.

"By tomorrow (Tuesday) I will have a full detail of the matter for you as the STF (police) are yet to make this public. I believe we will have a detailed information tomorrow."

Supersport.com also sought further information from the Plateau State police spokesman, Emmanuel Abuh, who confirmed the matter but asked for time to get the full details.

The League Management Company (LMC), which oversees the running of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), on Tuesday revealed on its official website, npfl.ng, that one of the suspects apprehended is one Sodiq Goje while Apiya is still on the run.
