"?The FA Cup is set to cash in over $1bn in a brand new oversees television rights contract, which will see them bring in £250m-per-year through a six-year-deal.

According to the "?Daily Mail, the FA, under the new guidance of chairman Greg Clarke, have been working on ways to revamp the broadcasting of one of the most prestigious competitions in the world following a succession of years where viewings have dropped significantly.

The new mega-bucks contract is set to begin at the start of the 2018/19 campaign, and has reportedly been boosted even further by the economic effects of the recent Brexit vote due to the deal being negotiated in dollars rather than the pound, which has dropped significantly in value.

The negotiations have taken place between two big-time American television rights selling agencies - Pitch international and IMG. The former are believed to have agreed to pay the FA $300m in order to sell the rights over to the Middle East and other parts of Europe.

However, IMG have made a sensational promise of paying over $700m to distribute the magic of the FA Cup to the rest of the territories on the globe, which is set to take the dominance and popularity of not only the FA Cup, but the Premier League and English football as a whole to a new level over the next few seasons.

This deal has also coincided with the FA's decision to renew viewing rights of the famous tournament to the BBC and BT Sport until 2021.
