Chinwendu Ihezuo Extends Contract with Tuzas Pachuca Femenil

Published on: 07 May 2024

Nigerian attacker Chinwendu Ihezuo's impressive scoring debut season with Tuzas has been instrumental in the team's success and this has prompted Pachuca Femenil club's board of directors to extend her contract for three more years, Nigeriasoccernet.com can confirm.

Ihezuo's strong connection with her teammates, particularly fellow forward Charlyn Corral, has been key to her goal-scoring prowess.

She has thrived under coach Prof. Oscar Torres, amassing impressive stats: 1,263 minutes played in 17 games, 13 goals, 4 assists, 6 goal contributions, 31 shots on target, 28 crosses, and 50 balls won in the opponent's area.

These outstanding numbers led to Ihezuo's recall to the Nigerian National Team for the qualifiers, where she played a crucial role alongside Gophers defender Osinachi Ohale in securing the "Super Falcons'" qualification for the Paris 2024 Olympics.

This is Ihezuo's third tournament in Liga MX Femenil. She previously played two seasons with Rayadas, scoring 23 goals in 50 games.

Now, in the Clausura 2024, she will vie for her third league title after Tuzas secured the second-place finish and a shot at the championship.
