Multiple champions of the Nigeria Premier Football League and 2-time champions of the CAF Champions League, Enyimba have announced the signing of former Nigeria international, Brown Ideye, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The former Super Eagles striker was revealed to the public on Tuesday at a ceremony in Aba.
"We are delighted to officially announce the addition of former Super Eagles Striker, Brown Ideye to our fold... We are expectant of the experience & professionalism he will add to our game/quest in our remaining games, this season especially under the New Gaffer.", a statement from the club via X read.
36-year-old AFCON 2013 winner and former West Bromwich Albion centre forward, signed as a free agent.
Enyimba FC Sporting Director, Ifeanyi Ekwueme described Brown Ideye as a "professional whose experience will boost the team".
"We are proud to have him", he said.
He has now joined the likes of Ahmed Musa and Shehu Abdullahi, who returned to play for their home teams.
Ideye returns to the domestic NPFL for the first time since leaving defunct Ocean Boys, in 2007 for Neuchatel Xamas FC. He left Kuwait in 2022.
