The continued snub of NPFL players by newly appointed Technical Adviser of the Super Eagles could set the German on a war path with club administrators in the country but voicing his displeasure about the occurrence , ex-international and board member of Akwa Ibom FA Friday Ekpo hopes for an improvement from the current selection quota in teh national team.
Ekpo told footballlive.ng that the Nigeria Professional Football League players need more opportunity in the national teams to prove their worth rather than having the door shut against their faces by team selectors.
In the current 23-man list for the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Zambia, only two home based players were selected by the 63-year-old former handler of Gabon and Burkina Faso.
Goal keepers Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Emmanuel Daniel earned their places on the team however they’ll likely be second and third choice goalies behind Wolverhampton Wanderers number , one choice, Carl Ikeme.
