Eddy Doue is beginning to attract attention after making rapid progress since leaving the Paris Saint-Germain academy for Portugal. The Ivorian midfielder, who is also a cousin of Desire Doue and Guela Doue, has impressed with his performances for Estrela da Amadora and is already being monitored by Trabzonspor.
A family steeped in football
Doue comes from a family with strong links to elite football. He is the first cousin of Desire Doue, who plays for Paris Saint-Germain, and Guela Doue, a Bayer Leverkusen player.
While Desire has chosen to represent France, Eddy has opted to play for Cote d’Ivoire at youth level. He featured for the Elephants at the Maurice Revello Tournament, scoring in a 3-1 victory over Venezuela.
He also earned the player of the match award after an impressive display against Portugal, in a game that ended 0-0.
From Paris Saint-Germain to Estrela da Amadora
Doue joined the Paris Saint-Germain academy in 2024 after being noticed relatively late during a youth fixture. He later drew wider attention towards the end of 2025 while playing for the club’s under-21 side in the Premier League International Cup.
A clip of the midfielder displaying his technical ability, dribbling skills and an outstanding assist against Chelsea circulated widely on social media.
In January 2026, the French-Ivorian left Paris to join Estrela da Amadora in Portugal. The move was intended to give him the opportunity to take the next step in senior football.
His early progress suggests the decision is proving successful. Doue has registered three assists across his past two appearances for the Portuguese club.
Trabzonspor move agreed for 2027
His performances in Portugal also made him one of the names to emerge during the final hours of the transfer window in Turkey. Trabzonspor were impressed by his displays in midfield and secured his arrival.
The transfer will not officially take effect until January 2027.
Paris Saint-Germain will retain a financial interest in the deal. The French club is expected to receive 50% of the amount generated by the future transaction, giving it a continuing stake in the development and eventual transfer of one of its former academy players.
