American Major Soccer League side Chicago Fire have named Ghana international attacker David Accam in their squad to face San Jose Earthquakes on Sunday night.
The 24-year-old has not been able to feature for the under-performing club since the start of the season due to a hamstring injury.
However, after recovering and gaining match fitness, manager Frank Yallop has decided to include him his squad for the game as they make a trip to Avaya Stadium to face San Jose.
Manager Yallop confirmed Accam's inclusion in his 18-man squad for the game.
"He'll be in the 18 for sure on the weekend," Yallop said. "He's not fully game sharp or fit but just to have him around and available is what we need from him.
I've got to be careful in the 90 minutes of the game, where if he gets 30 minutes at the end it could be the difference for us, I don't want to be bringing him out of the match and I don't think he's 90-minute ready.
We'll see, we can do some things between now and then. He's desperate to play so I've got to rein him in a little bit."
Accam joined Fire in February after leaving Swedish side Helsingborg IF but has not played a competitive game for them since joining them due to injury.
