Chelsea are reportedly considering a move for England midfielder Adam Wharton during the winter transfer window, with the London club prepared to pay £80m for the Crystal Palace player.
Transfer insider Ekrem Konur reported the potential interest on social media. The proposed fee would be worth about €93m.
Chelsea were interested in signing Wharton last summer, but a deal could not be completed. The club are now said to be ready to renew their pursuit of the 22-year-old when the transfer window reopens.
Wharton has been a Crystal Palace player since 2024. His current market value is estimated at €70m, while his contract with the club runs until the end of June 2029.
The midfielder has made four appearances in the current Premier League season and has not recorded a goal or assist.
