Barely 48 hours to the second leg match against Liberia’s champions Watanga FC, midfielder of Nigeria’s representative Chiamaka Madu has confirmed the readiness of the team.
The ‘Pride of Rivers’ secured a comprehensive 3-0 win in the first leg of the game played last weekend at the Adoke Amasiamaka stadium in Port-Harcourt
The victory put the Nigeria side in the driving seat but Madu insisted that they are not going to Liberia to defend but to secure another win.
"We are ready for the game because our training programs in the past week show how important is this game to us, so everyone is fully ready.
Though we won the first leg 3-0 but is not a pushover game.
We must work very hard to secure the important win, we are not going there to defend or have a draw, we are going there to win”, he told the club media.
They departed the shore of the country on Friday morning en route to Liberia for the game slated for Sunday.
