Burkina Faso are exploring the possibility of using players from their U23 squad for the friendly against Argentina in Buenos Aires on 4 October, as travel problems continue to affect the senior delegation.
The match has not been officially cancelled, and the Etalons remain committed to taking part despite the difficulties in reaching the Argentine capital.
Several U23 players are currently based in Ouagadougou for a training camp. The Burkina Faso Football Federation (FBF) is considering whether some of them could join the available senior players and help the national team field a side against Argentina.
However, the proposed integration of U23 players has not yet been confirmed officially. The FBF is expected to clarify its plans in the coming hours.
The decision is also being influenced by the contractual commitments attached to the fixture, including its financial arrangements. The federation is therefore seeking a solution that would allow Burkina Faso to honour its participation in the international match.
For now, no official announcement has been made on whether U23 players will be added to the squad.
