Head coach of Nasarawa Amazons Football Club of Lafia Christopher Danjuma has revealed his belief in the team following their arrival to Benin for the highly anticipated Betsy Obaseki Women's Football Pre-season tournament.
In its fourth edition, the tourney is expected to kick off on Sunday, October 6th, 2024 in Benin City with Nasarawa Amazons set to make another appearance as 14 NWFL teams gather in Benin City to battle for honors.
Nasarawa Amazons will aim to work hard to win the cup in this edition just to prepare well for the incoming season.
"We are here for the big pre-season tournament trophy and we are optimistic that we will go back to Lafia with it, and also to test run new players and prepare well for the 2024/2025 NWFL Premier League season", Christopher Danjuma who has just returned from the U-20 World Cup with Falconets stated.
With the strong backing of the Nasarawa State Government, Chairperson of the Nasarawa Amazon, Hajjia Suleiman Nagogo, has promised her players that they will be well looked after, provided they give their best effort in the upcoming season’s matches.
She stated, "Our goal is to win the league and bring continental football to Nasarawa State as a way to express our gratitude to His Excellency, Engr Abdullahi Sule, for his unwavering support of the team.
