Lionel Messi is playing his final match for Argentina as the national team face Benin at the Monumental stadium in Buenos Aires.
The occasion is being treated primarily as a farewell to Messi, who is bringing his international career to an end, rather than as a match focused solely on the football.
However, according to Barca Universal, Barcelona’s official social media account has still not published anything about the forward’s farewell to the Argentina national team.
Messi spent the majority of his career with Barcelona. He joined the club’s youth system in 2000, aged 13, and left 21 years later.
The Argentina captain remains Barcelona’s all-time leading goalscorer.
