Barcelona have won their first six matches of the season, a run that has been achieved only four times in the club’s history.
The Spanish side have recorded five victories in the league and added a win over Feyenoord in the Champions League.
Barcelona first began a season with six successive wins in 1929/1930, under manager James Bellamy. The feat was repeated in 1960/1961, when the club was coached by Yugoslav manager Ljubisa Brocic.
The only previous occasion came during the Messi era, in 2018/2019, when Barcelona were managed by Ernesto Valverde.
Victory in their next match would see Barcelona set an outright club record.
