Amuzie Joins Slovenian Club, NK Aluminij

Nigerian defender Stanley Amuzie has joined Slovenian club topflight division side NK Aluminij of Kidri?evo from Swiss side Lugano FC

Amuzie signed a one and half year deal at the club

The 22-year-old defender who previously featured for Sampdoria in the Italian Serie A and Portuguese club, Olhanense also expressed his delight teaming up with NK Aluminij who are currently third in the Slovenian PrvaLiga.

“I watched some matches of NK Aluminij and I was impressed,” Amuzie told NK Aluminij official website.

“I watched the profiles of the players and saw that this is a very young team. Young players, like me, get the chance to play and develop. That’s why I am here because I want to play and advance and help the NK Aluminij team in achieving good results.”

He also revealed he was convinced to join the club by a former teammate at Lugano and the Slovenian national team Domen Crnigoj.

“A lot of the decision made me a good opinion of the club, which was given by my teammate from Lugano and the Slovenian national team, Domen Crnigoj.”

Amuzie joined Lugano in 2017 and played 19 games for the Bianconeri before he departed.

The former Flying Sports academy star has also made eight appearances for the Nigeria, six playing the U23 level at the Olympic Games in 2016 and twice for the Super Eagles.
