As reported by Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Gift Orban is set to join French outfit in Olympique Lyon with the deal which is confirmed to be done for €13m fee to Gent awaiting official confirmation from both parties.
The deal was strongly wanted by club president John Textor alongside one more top signing after Malick Fofana. Orban will sign until June 2028 as gathered by Nigeriasoccernet.com.
In January 2023, the forward moved to Gent from Stabaek, a team in the Norwegian second tier and has made 22 appearances for the team and scored 20 goals.
Despite just scoring 12 goals in 30 games for the Buffalos this season, he has slowed down.
Due to their struggles this season, Lyon is currently mired in 16th place in Ligue 1.
