Morata to Talk With Real Madrid Next Week as Arsenal and Chelsea are Set £38m Asking Price

"?Real Madrid have told Arsenal and Chelsea that they will need to pay £38m to sign Alvaro Morata this summer, according to the "?Telegraph.

Their message comes despite the fact that the Spanish international is still owned by Italian champions Juventus. Real have an option to buy their former star back for £24m this summer, and the report claims that the Champions League finalists will hold talks over making that move official next week.

Los Blancos inserted the buy-back clause into the deal which initially took Morata to Juventus in 2014, and it's said that the pre-agreed £24m fee will become active from July 1.

Despite the fact Real are able to negotiate Morata's return to Santiago Bernabeu on a relatively cheap basis, they are looking to make a quick profit on the player and have told both his Premier League suitors that they will accept offers of £38m if they wish to sign him.

Manchester United have also been linked with Morata in the past, though their likely signing of Zlatan Ibrahimovic following Jose Mourinho's appointment should dissolve the need for them to sign another striker. Zlatan's former club, Paris Saint Germain, are reported to be interested in Morata too as they look for a long-term replacement for the Swede.

Juventus are now resigned to losing Morata this summer whatever happens, with boss Max Allegri recently stating that they are "?looking at possible alternatives to Morata in anticipation of his departure.

Allegri said: "The club are working on the transfer market and monitoring possible alternatives. We have a lot of forwards with players who are all in national teams and many young guys.

"I've already given Morata some advice: he needs to stay at Juventus"?What did he say? He nodded. I hope he understands, I'm saying this for his own good."?
