FA Cup: Nasarawa Amazons arrive Enugu for R32 fixture

Nasarawa Amazons FC, representing Nasarawa State in the 2024 women's President Federation Cup, have arrived in Enugu, the host city for their match against new female side the Suit de Queens FC of Oyo, Nigeriasoccernet.com gathered.

The two times champions of the President Federation cup are scheduled to face Suit de Queens FC at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium on Wednesday as they arrived in the coal city State capital city of enugu on Tuesday evening.

Nasarawa Amazons FC aims to evoke the spirit of the 2019 Cup tournament, where they reached the finals and won the trophy. Their upcoming round of 32 clash against suit de Queens FC on Wednesday will set the tone for a better journey ahead.

In 2023, Amazons secured a 5-2 victory over Gallant Queens of Zaria in the round of 32 fixtures of the Federation Cup. As the team progressed to the round of 16, facing confluence Queens of Lokaja, kogi State, whom they defeated in a penalty shootout after a 1-1 draw, and move to the next round were the faced Naija Ratels of Abuja at the Confluence stadium Lokaja defeating them 2 goals to 1.

However, they were defeated by the one time champions of the NWFL Premiership, Rivers Angels, 2-1 in the semifinal in Akure township stadium.
