Victor Wanyama's Love Affair With Spaghetti Reaches New Heights

Published on: 26 July 2016

"?While there's no doubting Spurs new boy Victor Wanyama's footballing ability, he may well be remembered forever for his love of spaghetti, which reached the public eye when he tweeted his views on the pasta over four years ago.

I had spaghetti and it was very nice i enjoyed it

The post has been retweeted over 37,000 times since 2012, and his new club Tottenham wasted no time in referencing the online post when they signed the Kenyan back in June.

We signed @VictorWanyama and he was very nice we enjoyed it

And with Spurs currently touring in Australia during pre-season, Wanyama was asked about his views on street art during an event in Melbourne, and it came as no surprise to football fans what his answer was when asked how he would represent himself in the form of graffiti.

If a street in Australia ends up with a painting of Wanyama holding pasta on a wall for graffiti, then Spurs' trip down under will have been worth it, regardless of results.

Wanyama played in Spurs' International Champions Cup defeat against Juventus earlier on Tuesday, and presumably he'll be dealing with the loss with a very nice bowl of spaghetti.
