Former Chelsea winger Mohamed Salah has joined Serie A side Roma on a permanent basis after the Italians redeemed their right to purchase.
The 24-year-old joined the Giallorossi on loan last summer, costing the club around €5 million, and his contract included a clause which allowed the Italians to buy him outright at the end of the spell, which they have now activated.
As announced on their official website, Salah will be a Roma squad member outright for the oncoming season, and he is expected to cost them a further €15m.
Chelsea have since thanked him for his services at Stamford Bridge.
During his time on loan at Roma, he was named in the Serie A Team of the Year and was also named as Roma’s Player of the Season.
He scored 15 goals in 42 games in all competitions last year.
