Plateau United coach Kennedy Boboye has said the club will  recruit three strikers and five midfielders  ahead of  the second stanza of the Nigeria Professional Football League, the News Agency of Nigeria reports.

Boboye, who spoke to reporters  through spokesman for the club Albert Dakup in Jos on Thursday, said the team were targeting  the league title.

According to him, the new players will replace the ones found not to be productive during the mid-season.

The former junior international  also said some of the  players also failed to key into his  plans.

Plateau United took the league  by storm this season occupying the top position in the table for most part of the first round.

The team, however, lost their status to MFM, who lead the  table following a home draw against Lobi Stars.

The Jos  club are  currently second with only a point behind MFM with a game in hand against Enugu Rangers.
